Corporate Responsibility
Safeguarding the environment
Starting with what we take from the planet all the way through to how we return it, we approach every aspect of our business with an eco-conscious mindset. We work with leading mills to develop eco-friendly fabrics and we launched an eco-conscious line of apparel to inspire customers with more sustainable choices. Today, 50% of our core fabrics are made from sustainable materials. And to help ensure nothing goes to waste, we donated over 5,000 pounds of excess fabric to be recycled for use in building materials and over $1.0 million in excess and returned product to charities—putting it to good use instead of in a landfill. From smaller hangtags made with recycled paper to digitized packing slips to shipping materials made from recycled plastic, no detail is too small. We are continually searching for ways to use less, and ensure what we do use is more sustainable. Here are two of the more noteworthy programs we’ve put in place to reduce our environmental impact.
Ethical Sourcing
As part of our commitment to our communities and sustainability, we demand the highest standards from our suppliers to ensure we’re safeguarding worker’s rights and the environment across our footprint. All of our vendors and manufacturers must commit to complying with our social and ethical compliance policies, many of which are drawn from the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) and International Labor Organization (ILO) Conventions, the principles of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the 12 principles of the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (“WRAP”) standards. These values are formalized in our Ethical Sourcing Code, which all our vendors must agree to and continuously meet in order to manufacture any of our products.
